The National Lottery Draws (previously The National lottery Live) is the name of the Television programme involving the drawing of the National Lottery in the United Kingdom. The programme is shown on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays and it is usually Shown on BBC One.

The Saturday night draws are usually shown as part of a lottery branded game show. the draws that night are Thunderball, Lotto and the Results of the previous weeks Plus 5 draws.
The Wednesday night draws are usually broadcast at 22:35 and show the Thunderball and Lotto draws. Until 2006 the draw would be presented by the host of the game show and would often contain a challenge for the winner of the previous Saturday's game show to win more prizes.
The Friday night draws show the Euromillions results and the Thunderball draw and are usually broadcast at 23:15. The Friday night draws are the only draws not to be broadcast live.
On BBC One on Saturday nights straight after Match of the Day a segment known as Lottery Update is broadcast showing the results of the days Lotto and Thunderball draws and also how many winners there are. The same thing is also broadcast on BBC One on Tuesday nights after the Local News opt-out showing the results of the Tuesday Euromillions draw and UK millionaire raffle.
The first show was presented by Noel Edmonds. After the first show it was either co-presented by Anthea Turner and Gordon Kennedy, or Bob Monkhouse, all of them assisted by the Psychic Mystic Meg. When Gordon left, Anthea remained as solo host. Current main presenters include Gethin Jones, Christopher Biggins, Scott Mills and Jenni Falconer. Occasional presenters include John Barrowman, Melinda Messenger and Sarah Cawood. The voice-overs are provided by Alan Dedicoat, In the event of Alan Dedicoat being un-available commentary is provided by fellow Radio 2 announcer Charles Nove.
Previously the presenter of the game show would present both the Wednesday and Saturday night Draws.
The Programme is usually Broadcast on BBC One although it occasionally shown on BBC Two if BBC One is unable so show it, BBC were granted the rights in 1994 after defeating a Rival bid from ITV. The programme was also Broadcast on BBC Radio 1 (or Radio 1 FM as it was then known) and later it was Broadcast on BBC Radio 5 Live.
